Greenbrier Wetland Services offers science-based educational, biological, bio-engineering, and management services for agencies, non-governmental organizations, private landowners, and corporations in all aspects of landscape ecology and management. We specialize in obtaining and integrating information to understand basic ecological relationships of wetland ecosystems throughout North America and to evaluate and design appropriate options for restoration and management at landscape scales.
Our work has helped design and implement national programs such as the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network, USDA Wetland Reserve Program, comprehensive conservation plans for the U. S. National Wildlife Refuge System, and strategic habitat conservation plans for state agencies.
Recent evaluations have addressed many widely ranging systems including large river floodplains in the Upper and the Middle Mississippi River regions, the Green River in Utah, the Grand Prairie and Bayou Meto basins of Arkansas, the Grand River Basin in Missouri, Cache River in Arkansas and Illinois, the Bitteroot River in Montana, and Bear River in Utah and Wyoming.
